To do so, follow these steps.

Click on the Quick Settings button, which is a hidden button where the Wifi, Battery, and Volume icons are located in the taskbar.

When the quick settings menu appears, head over to where the screen brightness slider is, next to the sun icon. Just drag the circle in the slider left or right to change the screen brightness to your preference.

When you drag the ribbon circle for more brightness, this circle gets bigger and the screen becomes brighter. After selecting the screen brightness level you want, close the menu by clicking anywhere outside of it, or click the Quick Settings button on the taskbar again.
